Potty Pail Review

I have cloth diapered for years. I love almost every aspect of it - the soft padded feeling of my baby's bum, the cute styles, saving money (lots of it too - I will have saved about $10,000 + by they time my little one potty trains), the convenience of never being out of diapers... What I have not loved is the toddler poop issues. Over the years, I have tried the diaper sprayer, just rolling it into the toilet, throwing it all in the washer and dunking. The diaper sprayer got the most off, but I always had over spray issues with it, no matter how much I adjusted the pressure. The other techniques weren't ideal either.
A couple months ago, I was introduced to the Potty Pail by a client who swore by it. I was intrigued. Essentially, it is a modified 5 gallon bucket that you can put on your toilet to rinse out poopy diapers. It seemed like a great solution to my poop issues, but since I was going to need the whole system (I had long since given my sprayer away), I didn't purchase it right away.
Finally, I decided to make the investment and I am so glad I did. This is by far the best cloth diapering investment I have ever made. When I have a poopy diaper, I place it in the pail and put the lid on it. When it is washing day, I rinse all the poopy diapers at once and into the washer they go. No more over spray issues because the pail prevents it.
It was well worth the investment!
Take a look!

Cloth Diaper Loan Program

Over the years, I have collected many books, videos, baby carriers, birth balls, nursing pillows and more that I can loan out to clients to try out. I love to be able to provide this to them to allow them to try out things before buying.
Camden outgrew his newborn size cloth diapers months ago. I was planning on selling them, but haven't gotten around to doing it. I have decided that I am going to add these to my Resource Center and loan them out to clients. I am going to ask for a $10 donation so that I can continue to add and replenish the collection.
If you are a current client, let me know if you are interested and I will reserve them for you for when your baby is due and you can keep them up until your 6 week postpartum visit.

Why Choose Cloth Diapers?

I came across this great article on the benefits of cloth diapering earlier today. I have used cloth diapers exclusively for my last four children and we absolutely love it! Cloth diapering is so much different and easier than what was available when we were children. And the savings?!?! I estimate that we have saved $8,000 on diapers. Wow!
Right now, our stash is mostly pocket diapers like Bum Genius, Fuzzi Bunz and Tweedle Bugs. These are not the cheapest way to cloth diaper, but I love how I can adjust the absorbancy level and how user friendly it is.
For locals, I have a bunch of sample diapers for you to come and take a look at to see your options, if you are interested. Just let me know!
