An Eventful Day!

Today Dy and I helped welcome Jace Alexander to the world. It was such an honor to witness his parents labor and birth together. Jace weighs 9 lbs and is 21 1/2 inches long. I love these sweet chubby babies!
Not only did we catch a baby today, but we also caught a chicken! While giving the parents-to-be a chance to labor alone, we left their home and went to see another client. On the way there, we stopped at my church to nurse Cam. In the parking lot, there was a loose chicken (hen? rooster? we aren't sure...). Since it is in an industrial area and didn't have anywhere to go, Dy decided to catch it and bring it home. Twenty minutes later and a lot of running around and this guy was caught!

Congrats to the new family!

So, will this be a pet chicken or food? lol Looks like a hen to me though.

It was going to be a pet for Dy. She was hoping it was a hen, but it was a rooster and so it went to live with another family as her hens did not react well to him.
